Book Meme
I thought this would be kinda funny, and since I hadn’t posted anything here in a while I thought it appropriate.
First things first. I had no clue what a meme was until today when I saw this on another blog.
A meme consists of any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that gets transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.
So in this context, what I’m giving you here is just something that you can get others to do in the same fashion and see what the results are. Here we go:
- Grab the nearest book to you (not your favorite one in the next room – the book closest to you. Not a magazine or pamphlet – a book)
- Turn to page 56
- Find the fifth sentence on that page
- Post the text of the sentence to your blog along with these instructions
Creating a distribution folder is discussed in more detail in Chapter 3, “Performing an Unattended Installation of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.”
See how geeky I am? Now mind you, I’m at work. But my desk at home isn’t much better. Don’t worry, I haven’t actually read the book. Besides that, it’s very old. At least 8 years.
