New Year’s Resolutions
I’m usually not one to make a New Year’s resolution and really stick with it. I did okay this year – I attempted to keep things organized. I did well for a little while, but things easily get piled up when you don’t have a lot of storage space.
This year, I’m making one that millions of people make. I need to lose weight. I saw a YouTube video that a guy put together (I won’t post the video here because the guy is shirtless throughout the entire thing, and it is rather disgusting, especially at first) by taking a picture of himself every day over the course of a couple of months. This was to document his progress as he lost weight. He also committed to posting daily blog entries to hold himself accountable to his goal.
I’m not going to do the photo thing, because I’d really rather not post shirtless photos of myself out on the Internet for all to see. But I do want to blog daily about my progress (or lack thereof).
My plan? I’m not holding myself to a whole lot, but it will definitely be a start. I want to walk every morning, maybe working myself up to a jog. On my road, it is a mile to get to the highway, so I’ll have a good 2 mile walk if I go that far. There is also a steep hill on the road that I would have to walk – that will help for sure. My other thing is to start eating a little more healthy. Maybe I need to learn to like a salad?
