Winter is Upon Us
I’ve never been one to like Winter, but I do love some of the scenery that Winter makes beautiful. It’s also one of the reasons I love living up here on Snow Hill.
Last night we made it down into the teens, and had a little snow. So my uncle’s pond out behind my house now has a thin layer of ice on one end, with a thin coating of snow to go along with it.
I left yesterday morning to head to work, but started sliding around on the highway, so I decided to just turn around and come back home. Thankfully, I have a job that allows that flexibility and I was able to do a whole day’s worth of work from my couch in front of the fireplace. Today, with possible icy spots on the road still, I decided not to even worry about going in to the office since Fridays are only half-days anyway.
Counting today, 3 of the next 5 days won’t make it above freezing. Anybody else ready for Spring?
